It seems like eating these products does not increase our weight. We eat them often, even daily. Meanwhile, they have very high energy value. What are you talking about? It’s about the so-called caloric traps, or products that, despite what it may look like, are very fattening. We are now exposed to these silent enemies of weight loss.

Snacks

Salted sticks are a very popular snack. Most often we consume them during parties. It would seem that they contain few calories. Nothing could be more wrong. A serving of 100 g of them contains 420 calories.

Maybe instead of salted sticks we get some sunflower or pumpkin seeds? Yes, but in small amounts. They are a source of unsaturated fatty acids, proteins, vitamins and micronutrients, however, in 100 grams of pills there are more than 500 calories (about 560). So eat pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, but do not exaggerate them. Just add a small handful from time to time to muesli or salad.

Another snack trap is peanuts. In a 100g serving there is over 600 kcal. The popular combination of peanuts and beer is a true calorie bomb.

The ideal low-calorie snacks will be vegetables – cut into slices and colourful variety will surely encourage you to eat them.

Bread and additives

People who want to maintain their impeccable shape should refrain from white bread, or at least limit it. For comparison – a slice of white bread is about 130 kcal, dark grain – 100 kcal. If you are a fan of sandwiches, this caloric difference is important. Just eat 2 or 3 slices for breakfast and dinner. If we choose to make sandwiches of dark bread, we “save” about 200 kcal.

Butter is an inseparable ingredient in many foods. However, if we are trying to lose weight, we should limit its consumption. In 100 grams of the product we will find around 700 kcal.

One of the most popular additions to a sandwich is the yellow cheese. However, remember that it is also a high calorie product – one slice is about 50 kcal. Instead, choose a thin curd (30 g counts for around 30 kcal).

And finally – a spoonful of mayonnaise. For many people it is a necessary ingredient for a delicious sandwich. In one tablespoon of this product we can find about 160 kcal and 18 g of fat. Therefore, people who are trying to lose weight should sparingly use mayonnaise in their kitchen.

Other products

We can find plenty of breakfast cereals on the store shelves – chocolate, dried fruit, honey, corn, rice … we could list them endlessly. But not all are healthy and low calorie. A bowl of 2% milk with a serving of corn flakes is over 300 kcal. Let’s not forget that the cereal contains a lot of carbohydrates, which dangerously increases the level of sugars in the blood. However, if you cannot imagine a breakfast without a serving of milk and cereals, instead of corn or chocolate, choose wheat bran (about 200 calories) or oatmeal (about 300 calories), which is a source of fibre, magnesium, protein and phosphorus. . Milk 2 or 3,2 percent can be replaced with skimmed milk.

Let’s stay on the breakfast topic. Many people start the day with a cup of coffee. Aromatic little black stimulant. Thanks to it we feel that energy is coming back to us again. People who are trying to lose weight do not have to give up this beverage. 100 ml of coffee is only 2 kcal. However, if we add 2 teaspoons of sugar to the cup, the calorific value rises to 40 kcal. If we add cream to it, it becomes even more calorie. To “slim” small black, instead of sugar you can use sweetener, and instead of cream – skimmed milk.
