SEE HOW TO PRESS VETERAN AND THE 3-BOY LEGEND IN POLAND, JAN WEGIER. AFTER 20 YEARS OF TRAINING!
…. because you hurt your back, you will get injured. How many do you know of squeezers that train 10,20,30 years? If you have the opportunity, see how such a person squeezes a bar lying on a horizontal bench (in the margin there is no such thing as a flat bench. Flat can be a roadway or some similar surface, the bench extends well above the ground, so it is not flat).
Virtually all of these squeezers use a bridge. Why? Because without their sternum, their shoulder joints would have disappeared a long time ago as a result of forcing the joint to undergo non-physiological work under load. The bridge is the best protection for your shoulder joints. In addition, you will significantly improve your score in WL.
The back, and in particular their lower part, can withstand gigantic overloads.
Your shoulders will be damaged already at relatively low weights.
LIGHTWEIGHT BRIDGES WE ALWAYS DO,
starting from the first, the lightest warm-up series (we build the right extrusion habits!). We use the bridge for bench pressing, lying on a horizontal bench, for strainers, for squeezing head down, and even for diagonal up and for squeezing on shoulders.
Unfortunately, the gym’s regulars – they confuse the bridge, with bridging. Bridging = work with butt and legs, butt lands high up – yes, it can be injured. MOSTEK = STATIC WORKING while squeezing lying down, the movement of the buttocks and legs is minimal.
